ABOUT LUKE WOODS
Luke Woods is a versatile and passionate musician whose work spans multiple genres and disciplines.
As a drummer, Luke writes all his own drum parts and is known for his solid groove, intricate rhythms, and ability to adapt to any musical genre. Over the years, Luke has performed and collaborated with numerous artists, both live and in the studio, providing his skills to various projects. Luke’s current band 'rosary.' has been streamed over 100,000 times on Spotify alone in little over a year. This has helped the band see Radio success with Radio 1, sold-out shows and nationwide tours. With 'rosary.' Luke has played venues such as Three Wise Monkeys in Colchester, The Six Six in Cambridge, and New Cross Inn in London. 'rosary.'s' next EP is set to be released at the end of the year.

Luke is also a member of another band called Stacy's Dad, a fast-paced, energetic pop-punk cover band. Stacy's Dad have played various live shows across East Midlands and Suffolk. Their live set consists of everyone's favourite nostalgic 2000s hits from bands such as blink-182, Sum 41 and Green Day.

Luke has been featured in other artists' work from around Colchester and Cambridge, filling in whenever needed. Luke has played drums live for various bands, such as Audrey Ripper, Big Snooze and Toad Sage. Luke has also worked in the studio with Toad Sage writing and playing the drums on their 6 track EP "The Toad Sage Project".
In addition to his work as a drummer, Luke is a singer-songwriter whose music touches on themes such as love, heartbreak, grief, hope, and personal growth. He has played in various pubs, bars and venues across Cambridge, Suffolk and Essex and is set to release his debut EP “Closure” in late 2025.
Luke has also gained useful work experience in the industry with the organisation Noise Solution and at a Music Therapy placement at university.
Luke undertook a Music level 1 course with Noise Solution when he was 19 and was invited back when he was 26 to do work experience. During his time at Noise Solution, Luke gained significant insight into the music wellbeing industry. He was even featured in local newspapers and on local radio, talking about the impact Noise Solution had on his life and the importance of music on people’s wellbeing.
In his second year at University, Luke underwent a music therapy placement in which he and 2 other classmates played music for a group of older gentlemen with dementia. Luke gained a deep insight into community music and the power music can have on people with dementia. They mainly facilitated drum circles for the participants, which inspired Luke to research further the social benefits drum circles can have on people with dementia for his dissertation.

Luke’s next venture is to train to become a drum circle facilitator and community musician. He believes in the power of music to bring people together and uplift individuals, as he already dedicates much of his time to playing music for people with dementia.
Luke's ambitions are to take his band 'rosary.' as far as he can, to play bigger venues and go on European or even worldwide tours. Luke is also determined to make a name for himself as a session musician, eager to work with more artists and hoping that other artists can recognise him as the reliable and hardworking drummer that he is.
